Thodarvandi and family

I choo, I chug and I am faster than a truck. I am a train and you can call me Rail. I was first born on the 21st of August, 1804.

I was made in England and ran on Stockton and Darlington railways. My creator is Mr. Richard who was a British engineer. The oldest train in the world is the Puffing Billy, my Grandpa. He was constructed in 1813 by William. My Indian sibling was created by the British during the colonial Era. He ran from Bombay to Thane. His name was Redhill Railways.

These days the trains are faster in comparison to the older ones like me due to technological innovation. The fastest train in the world is none other than my cousin, the Bullet train which runs in Japan. He is built in the shape of a bullet which is why he is named the Bullet train. We not only carry people but also goods from one place to another. So trains are quite important to create fast and smooth transportation service. India has the fourth-largest railway network in the world. Some trains run within the cities called as metro. Metro is also a relative to me, my nephew, who is a great example of technological innovation as he is also one of the fastest trains. Some people use him for going to the office, others simply use it to travel faster from one place to another. In the future, l can travel underwater or by air. Some Inventors are planning to build a train that can float in the air but is only a few feet above the ground. Another example of a fast train is the one that can run from Chennai to Bangalore in just 15 minutes.

Trains are fascinating because they are one of the cheapest and fastest modes of transportation available with beds to sleep in. They also provide us with food and water whenever we need them and it also has several wheels. Why would you ever choose any other mode of transport when trains are the fastest land transport? This is why I think trains are the best.
